Redesigning Menora’s investment track selection through a data-driven UX overhaul, focusing on clarity, control, and user empowerment
THE CHALLENGE
RESEARCH SHOWS
MAIN GOAL
The legacy investment selection process was cumbersome and high-friction, leading to significant user drop-off and frustration.
To redefine the investment experience by moving from a bureaucratic "data-entry" form to an empowering "decision-support" journey.
Simplify complex financial data, reduce cognitive load, and increase user completion rates by building trust and confidence.

DISCOVERY
Market Reality
To understand why users were struggling, I analyzed the current market landscape. I discovered a recurring pattern among competitors: they were building forms for the company, not tools for the user.

Most platforms force users into blind selections based on names alone, providing no real context for performance.
Crucial data is frequently buried under confusing tooltips and hidden windows, breaking the user's flow.
Existing systems tend to prioritize bureaucracy and data entry over providing actual decision support for the user.
Identification pain point
SOLUTION #1
Gradual Onboarding
To prevent initial drop-off, we replaced the complex data list with a single, clear question about risk appetite.
This progressive disclosure approach allows users to enter the process gradually, building confidence before reaching the more detailed stages.

SOLUTION #2
Visual Benchmarking
We streamlined the decision process by highlighting only 3 relevant investment tracks based on user input.
By surfacing key metrics like historical returns and risk tags, we provide an objective framework for comparison that helps users choose without requiring a direct recommendation.

SOLUTION #3
Interactive Sandbox Mode
This gamified tool allows users to play with investment percentages and see the visual impact on their portfolio in real-time.
Providing this sense of active control significantly lowers financial anxiety and makes the final commitment feel safer and more informed.

MOBILE ADAPTATION
Responsive Strategy
Adapting the interactive "Sandbox" tool to mobile required a strategic shift in layout to prevent key functionality from being buried in a long scroll. I implemented a sticky, expandable modal that anchors to the bottom of the viewport as soon as multiple tracks are selected. This persistent component ensures users maintain active control over their portfolio at all times, seamlessly balancing data comparison with real-time adjustments.

Key Learnings

Design as a Bridge for Regulation I learned how to navigate strict regulatory boundaries by using UX as a tool for empowerment. Instead of a direct recommendation, we built a Choice Architecture that helps users reach their own conclusions through data transparency.

Confidence through Interaction This project proved that interactive "sandbox" environments are critical in fintech. By allowing users to "test" their decisions in real-time, we successfully lowered financial anxiety and increased the likelihood of process completio

Constraints Drive Innovation The mobile real estate challenge forced me to think beyond standard layouts. Implementing the sticky interactive framework taught me how to preserve complex functionality across devices without compromising on user focus or simplicity.
